We study how the body repairs itself after injury and surgery — and why repair so often leaves a scar. By uncovering the cellular and molecular mechanisms of healing, we aim to improve recovery, prevent complications, and help implants integrate rather than fail.
Beyond the bench, we translate discoveries into innovations — collaborating with industry, supporting entrepreneurship, and training the next generation of scientists and clinicians in regenerative medicine and surgical care.
